Who we are

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site (a quote request, an estimate, an offer or a free assessment request) we collect what you enter. That can include:

• Your name, phone number, email address and town or address
• Details about your home and the work you need, including your answers to short questions on our forms
• Any photos or notes you choose to send us

We use this information only to respond to you, prepare quotes, book and complete work, send you your report or invoice, and keep the records a contractor is required to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use it and whether our advertising is working. This can include the pages you view, how long you stay, how you scroll and click, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (city level), and how you arrived (for example, from a Google ad). We use these tools:

• Google Analytics to measure visits and how pages are used.
• Google Ads to measure whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to send us a request.
• Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling and taps, shown as heatmaps and session replays) so we can make the site easier to use. Text typed into form fields is hidden from these recordings.
• Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the forms you submit.

Your choices

• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• You can manage the ads Google shows you at My Ad Center.

How long we keep it

We keep the information you send us for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet our legal, tax and warranty record-keeping obligations. Website measurement data is kept for the periods set by the services above.

Access, correction and withdrawing consent

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to us using it (subject to legal or contractual requirements). Email owen@cornerstoneelectrical.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
